Chimney Relining

This is an example of the inside of a chimney that has been relined with the FireGuard Chimney Relining System. Most Chimneys unless they are very old have flue tiles. Clay flue tiles line the interior of chimneys. They provide a smooth passageway for smoke and combustion gases to exit the chimney safely. Over time these flue tiles can crack leaving gaps for air to flow through, this is often what leads to a chimney fire. We use an amazing product called FireGuard Chimney Relining System. This product works quickly and can restore an unusable chimney within 24 hours. For more information on the Fireguard System: https://firesafeinc.com/fireguard/

Chimney Cleanings

Let’s get that chimney clean! What does this entail? Well first it starts with an inspection. Every chimney gets inspected, but not every chimney needs cleaning. Open fireplaces, woodstove inserts, free-standing woodstoves, gas inserts, all these can and should be inspected. These inspections help you know whether the chimney is safe to use or not, needs cleaning, needs relining, a fuel switch, etc. Whether you are selling your home, or getting ahead of the winter rush, our Chimney Sweep Professionals have you covered. Our sweeps offer Level 1, 2, and 3 inspections. When cleaning is necessary our sweeps will brush the chimney making sure it’s free of any build-up of creosote or debris, ensuring a safe burn and future use.

  • A Level 1 Inspection: involves a visual examination of all readily accessible portions of the chimney exterior and interior. The technician checks for structural soundness, obstructions, combustible deposits (like creosote), proper clearances, and overall flue condition.

  • A Level 2 Inspection is often required when selling property or after a chimney fire. When there are changes to the heating system—such as switching fuel types, or relining the flue a Level 2 inspection is needed.

This inspection includes all components of a Level 1 inspection, plus: a video inspection, determining clearances from combustibles, structural soundness evaluations, photographic documentation and detailed condition reports.

  • A Level 3 Chimney Inspection is the most comprehensive and invasive inspection level, and is not common. It is required only when a serious safety or hazardous issue is suspected. When a Level 1 or Level 2 inspection reveals a hidden issue that cannot be assessed without accessing concealed areas, like evidence of major structural compromise or damage, or after a chimney fire.
